WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Thairo Estrada and Wade Meckler homered and the Sacramento River Cats doubled up Salt Lake 8-4 Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Carson Seymour posted seven strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the River Cats.
Jake Marisnick belted a grand slam to provide all of the Bees’ offense in defeat.
Concluding this week’s series, the River Cats, who earned the split, improved to 63-57 while the Bees fell to 57-62.
The Bees return to Smith’s Ballpark Tuesday for a six-game series against the Round Rock Express. Opening pitch is slated for 6:35 pm.
