PROVO, Utah-Friday, BYU football standout center, senior Connor Pay, was named to the Rimington Trophy Award watch list.
This award is annually bestowed upon “the nation’s premier center” by the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
Pay has 88 career starts to his credit and received all-Big 12 preseason honors by being placed on the fourth squad offense by the conference last month.
Additionally, Utah graduate senior tight end Brant Kuithe was named to the Mackey Award Watch List.
This award is annually presented to the nation’s most outstanding night end by The Friends of John Mackey and is named for the Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end with the Baltimore Colts who also starred at Syracuse.
Kuithe did not play last season for the Utes, but has 148 career receptions for 1,882 yards and 16 scores during his career at Utah.
