OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State football achieved a No. 22 ranking in the STATS FCS preseason poll.
This commemorates the eighth consecutive season the Wildcats have been ranked in the preseason.
Two-time defending national champion South Dakota State is No. 1 in the poll.
The Jackrabbits are followed by No. 2 North Dakota State, No. 3 Montana, No. 4 Montana State and No. 5 South Dakota.
The Wildcats start the season August 31 at Washington of the Big Ten Conference.
