TACOMA, Wash.-Keston Hiura homered twice and Matthew Lugo and Charles Leblanc also went yard as the Salt Lake Bees bested Tacoma 11-6 Friday at Cheney Stadium in Pacific Coast League play.
Johnny Cueto posted six strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.
Tyler Locklear homered twice and Duke Ellis also went yard in defeat for the Rainiers.
The Bees have now won 12 of 13 since the All-Star Break and went back over .500 with a record of 53-52 and have secured at least a split in the series. Tacoma fell to 58-48 in defeat.
The squads return to action Saturday at 7:05 pm at Cheney Stadium while the Bees will go for the series win.
