SALT LAKE CITY-Chad Wallach homered and the Salt Lake Bees got past El Paso 11-6 Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Johnny Cueto posted a strikeout in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.
Brett Sullivan homered in defeat for the Chihuahuas.
Following Saturday’s results, the Bees, who have won nine straight games, improved to 49-51 while the Chihuahuas fell to 40-61.
The Bees go for the series sweep, and their 10th straight victory Sunday at 1:05 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
