SALT LAKE CITY-Elliot Soto and Jordyn Adams scored on a fielding error by Óscar Mercado and the Salt Lake Bees improbably won their 8th straight game with a 4-3 victory over the El Paso Chihuahuas Friday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Michael Stefanic added an RBI sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 3rd Inning for the Bees, while Bryan Shaw was attributed with the win on the mound for Salt Lake.
Jason Martin hit his 9th home run of the season in defeat for the Chihuahuas.
Following Friday’s results, the Bees improved to 48-51 while the Chihuahuas fell to 40-60.
The Bees also secured the series win with Friday’s victory while they seek their 9th straight win Saturday at 6:35 pm against El Paso at Smith’s Ballpark.
