SALT LAKE CITY-Jonatan Clase, Jason Vosler, Spencer Packard, Leo Rivas and Michael Papierski each drove in a run and the Tacoma Rainiers completed a series win of Salt Lake with an 8-4 victory over the Bees Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Cade Marlowe recorded a pair of hits in the win for the Rainiers and Blas Castano netted eight strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Tacoma.
Bryce Teodosio drove in two runs in the loss for the Bees.
Following Saturday’s results, the Rainiers improved to 49-38 and the Bees fell to 37-49.
The Bees return to action Tuesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark to open a six-game series against Sacramento.
