SALT LAKE CITY-Jonatan Clase and Spencer Packard each homered and the Tacoma Rainiers routed Salt Lake 10-2 Friday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Michael Mariot posted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers.
Bryce Teodosio and D’Shawn Knowles each drove in a run in defeat for the Bees.
Following Friday’s results, the Rainiers improved to 48-38 on the season while the Bees fell to 47-38.
The Rainiers seek to go for the series win Saturday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark in the series finale while the Bees hope to secure the split.
