Governor Cox Defeats Lyman In Primary Election Win

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox is the unofficial winner in Tuesday’s state primary election. He defeated Phil Lyman, a former county commissioner who went to the state legislature. Cox will now face Democrat nominee Rep. Brian King in the November election. Utah has not had a Democrat as governor since 1985.
