SALT LAKE CITY-César Salazar came through with a key RBI double in the top of the 10th Inning and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys outlasted Salt Lake 3-2 in 10 innings Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Shay Whitcomb added a home run in the win for the Space Cowboys, who secured at least a series split with Thursday’s victory.
Conner Greene recorded a strikeout in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for the Space Cowboys.
Michael Stefanic and Jordyn Adams each drove in a run in defeat for the Bees.
Following Thursday’s results, the Space Cowboys improved to 38-22 on the season while the Bees, losers of seven of their last nine, fell to 25-34.
The Bees and Space Cowboys return to action Friday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
