OREM, Utah-Cy Chrisman homered and the No. 2 Maple Mountain Golden Eagles bested No. 6 Salem Hills 7-5 at UCCU Ballpark Tuesday. Max Walker posted three strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Golden Eagles. Kaleb Holman drove in a pair of runs in defeat for the Skyhawks.

OREM, Utah-Jack Saba, Braxton Biesinger, Cooper Scott and Riley Brown drove in a run apiece and the No. 1 Brighton Bengals waxed No. 5 Orem 7-2 Tuesday at UCCU Ballpark. Josh Mawhinney posted 10 strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bengals. Merrick Bostock drove in two runs in defeat for the Tigers. Orem next faces No. 4 Springville in an elimination game Wednesday at 1:30 pm at UCCU Ballpark.

5A One-Loss Bracket @ UVU

OREM, Utah-Damon Rodriguez drove in two runs and the No. 14 Box Elder Bees downed No. 7 Murray 7-5 Tuesday at UCCU Ballpark, ending the Spartans’ season. KJ Argyle posted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Sam Brousseau drove in two runs in the loss for the Spartans. Box Elder next plays in the 5A one-loss bracket Wednesday at 11:00 am.

OREM, Utah-RJ Briggs, Ashtyn Tate, Easton Van Dickle, Reid Deede and Mason DeLlamas each drove in a run and the No. 4 Springville Red Devils blanked No. 8 Cyprus 5-0 at UCCU Ballpark Tuesday as the Pirates’ season drew to a close. Easton Barrett posted 15 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Springville. The Red Devils return to action Wednesday at 1:30 pm in the one-loss bracket at UCCU Ballpark.

Softball 5A Bracket Play @ Taylorsville Complex

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Emrie Pintar recorded a 2-RBI sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 7th and the No. 1 Spanish Fork Dons got past No. 4 Box Elder 10-9 in 5A bracket play at the Taylorsville Complex Tuesday. Lucy Evans posted four strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Dons. Justy Pritchard drove in two runs in the loss for the Bees.

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Ryann Haveron and Allyx Haveron each homered and the No. 2 Springville Red Devils overpowered No. 3 Bountiful 8-5 in 5A bracket play at the Taylorsville Complex. Ryann Haveron recorded six strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Springville. Kamryn Rasmussen drove in two runs in the loss for the RedHawks.

5A Girls Lacrosse Semifinals @ Westminster

SALT LAKE CITY-Sara Anne stepped up with six points and three goals and the No. 1 Olympus Titans edged No. 5 Brighton 12-11 Tuesday in the 5A girls lacrosse semifinals at Westminster University. Sophie Nielsen and Caroline Lee each recorded three points and three goals apiece in the loss for the Bengals. Olympus next plays No. 2 Park City Thursday at 10:00 am at Zions Bank Stadium for the 5A state championship.

SALT LAKE CITY-Sophie Neff led the way with seven points and four goals as the No. 2 Park City Miners dismantled No. 6 Maple Mountain 18-5 in the 5A girls lacrosse semifinals at Westminster University Tuesday. Taylor Yee led the Golden Eagles in defeat with two goals and two points.
