Maple Mountain Has The Lead in Boys and Girls Region 7 Track and Field Championship Competition After Day 1

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Wednesday, the first day of competition at the Region 7 track and field occurred at Maple Mountain High School.

The host Golden Eagles have the lead in both boys and girls competition.

For the boys, Maple Mountain has 49 points. Cedar Valley is in second with 45 points. Salem Hills is in third with 39 points. The Wasatch boys are presently in seventh place with 18 points.

The boys standings, after Day 1, are as follows:

For the girls, the Golden Eagles lead the way with 47 points. Cedar Valley is in second with 28 points. Spanish Fork is third with 26.5 points. Wasatch is in fifth with 24.5 points, as the Wasps’ girls squad won the Region 7 4 x 800 championship. The girls standings are as follows:
