Provo Temple Reconstruction Begins

(Provo, UT) — The reconstruction of the Provo Temple of the LDS Church is officially underway. Some demolition is taking place ahead of the project, including the removal of the building’s golden Angel Moroni statue. The reconstruction project was announced by Church President Russell M. Nelson in the months after temples reopened following the COVID-19 pandemic. The temple will also have its name changed to the Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple.
