Salary Needed To Become New Homeowner Rises In Utah

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A recent study says a six-figure income is necessary for those wanting to become homebuyers in Utah. Five years ago, one could acquire the home of their dreams with an annual salary of 80-thousand dollars. The study by Bankrate.com identifies that in Utah in 2024, a person needs to take home about 134-thousand dollars annually to afford a house with a 525-thousand dollar price tag. Utah is not alone. About half of U.S. states are showing a six-figure income threshold to buy a house.
