Bees Face River Cats on Easter Sunday

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Casey Schmitt recorded an RBI single and the Sacramento River Cats edged Salt Lake 1-0 Sunday in the first game of a doubleheader at Sutter Health Park. Spencer Bivens posted five strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Sacramento.

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Sonny DiChiaro scored on a fielding error in the 9th Inning and the Salt Lake Bees outlasted Sacramento 3-2 to secure a Sunday doubleheader split at Sutter Health Park. Jordyn Adams added an RBI single in victory for the Bees. Zac Kristofak earned the win on the mound for Salt Lake with a strikeout in 1.2 innings of work. Heliot Ramos homered in the loss for the River Cats. The Bees improve to 1-2 on the season while Sacramento falls to 2-1 with the loss. Tuesday, Salt Lake returns to action for a six-game series against the Tacoma Rainiers at Smith’s Ballpark. This will be the Bees’ home opener.
