New Laws Impact Hunting, Other Outdoor Activities

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources says several new laws will soon affect hunters in the state. The governor recently signed legislation that impacts hunter orange requirements, antler gathering regulations and wildlife management funding. The new hunter orange law goes into effect on May 1st. It will require big game hunters to wear orange on the exterior of their clothing such as a hat, shirt, jacket, coat or vest. This alters the previous rule that only required that individuals wear a specific number of square inches of orange.
