ST. GEORGE, Utah-Zander Nielsen and Gavin Roberts drove in two runs apiece and the Union Cougars downed Wasatch 9-6 Saturday at the Ence Homes Desert Hills Classic at Desert Hills High School. Ryker Evans homered in the loss for the Wasps while Blake Sweat, Grant Mahoney and Carter Bucad also drove in a run apiece for Wasatch in defeat.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Brody Blodgett drove in three runs and the Cedar Valley Aviators downed Wasatch 9-7 at the Ence Homes Desert Hills Classic Saturday at Desert Hills High School. Gideon Both recorded four strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mond for the Aviators. Bridger Shaw drove in two runs in the loss for the Wasps. Ryker Evans, Zach Burdette, Carter Bucad, Grant Mahoney and Crew Baxter also drove in a run apiece for the Wasps.
Wasatch falls to 2-6 following Saturday’s results and returns to action Wednesday by hosting Uintah in a non-region tilt.
