CEDAR CITY, Utah-Monday, Southern Utah junior forward Dominique Ford was named as the WAC player of the week for his contributions to the Thunderbirds’ wins over Tarleton State and Abilene Christian this past week.
Ford averaged 23 points per games in the wins over the Texans and Wildcats and shot 60.9 percent from the field.
The Las Vegas native is averaging 17.2 points per game this season for the Thunderbirds.
Ford and his SUU teammates return to action Thursday by hosting Texas-Arlington as the WAC season ensues for the Thunderbirds.
