PROVO, Utah-Tuesday evening, BYU football added three strength and conditioning assisant coaches to the staff per a report from Cougars head coach Kalani Sitake: Zach Shaw, Christian Tupou and Tim Ismail.
Shaw most recently served as the head coach at NCAA Division III Fitchburg State (Mass.). Shaw played quarterback at NCAA Division III Wisconsin Lutheran and later professionally for various squads in Europe. Shaw has coached at NJCAA Division III Mesabi Range (Minn.), Wisconsin Lutheran, NEFC Nichols (Mass.), NCAA Division III Hiram (Ohio) and Elmhurst (Ill.) and Fitchburg State.
Tupou starred at USC (2008-2009, 2011) as a nose tackle and later played for the Chicago Bears in 2013.
Tupou has had previous stints as a strength and conditioning coach at USC and Oregon.
Ismail is an alum of NCAA Division III Hardin-Simmons (Texas) and has previous stints as a strength and conditioning coach at Florida, Hardin-Simmons, Southern Methodist and Army.
