HYRUM, Utah-JJ Serre’s 14 points led the way and the Wasatch Wasps bested Mountain Crest 55-50 in non-region boys basketball play Wednesday. Kaden Hess had a game-high 16 points in the loss for the Mustangs. The Wasps improved to 4-2 on the season and return to action Wednesday at 7:00 pm against Highland at the Utah Autism Classic hosted by Olympus High School.

SALT LAKE CITY-Ashley Garner netted 25 points and the Wasatch Wasps improved to 9-1 with a 59-53 win over Judge Memorial Wednesday in non-region girls basketball play. Esther Analjok led the Bulldogs with 24 points in the loss. The 9-1 Wasps return to action January 3 at Timpview as the Region 7 season commences.
