Tuesday, the Western Athletic Conference released its men’s basketball preseason poll and its preseason all-WAC team.
The defending champion Grand Canyon Antelopes were picked to finish first, achieving nine first place votes. The full rankings are as follows:

- Texas-Rio Grande Valley/Southern Utah

Utah Valley junior guard Drake Allen, a former Westlake High School, Snow College and Southern Utah standout, is on the all-WAC first team. Allen averaged 11 points and 3.4 rebounds per game for the Thunderbirds last season.
