SALT LAKE CITY-Jack López and Orlando Martinez drove in two runs apiece and the Salt Lake Bees downed Sacramento 6-2 Friday at Smith’s Ballpark.
JD Hammer posted two strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees in earning his first win of the season against two losses.
Donovan Walton’s 2-RBI single led the River Cats in the loss.
Salt Lake improved to 69-78 on the season while Sacramento fell to 66-81.
The Bees go for the series win Saturday. Opening pitch is slated for 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
