(Heber City, UT) — A 14-year-old Heber City boy suffered critical injuries after he was hit by a van while biking to school Thursday. Officials say the teen was crossing a street using a crosswalk when a van failed to yield and hit him. He was taken to Utah Valley Hospital in critical condition, though Heber City Police Sergeant Joshua Weishar says the boy’s condition was upgraded to stable by Thursday morning. According to police, the driver of the van has been taken into custody and is facing criminal charges.
