(Undated) — More than 200-percent of Utah’s average precipitation fell in August. The latest report from the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service shows valley locations around the state measure just under two inches of rain last month. That’s over 200-percent of the average for August. Rainfall in western Utah was over 300-percent of average. Mountain measuring stations counted three-point-two inches of rain for what is typically a dry month.
