Heber City Police Respond To Auto-Pedestrian Accident

HEBER CITY, Utah-Thursday, the Heber City Police Officers responded to an auto-pedestrian accident at the intersection of 500 East and 1200 South, Heber City.

A 14-year-old male riding his bicycle, crossing northbound at a crosswalk, was on his way to school when he was hit by a vehicle.

These lights were activated at the time of the incident.

A work van was traveling eastbound on 1200 South and failed to yield to the flashing caution lights, striking the juvenile in the crosswalk.

He was transported to Utah Valley Hospital of Provo in critical condition. Presently, he remains in critical, but stable, condition.

The driver was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian’s right of way in a school crosswalk.
