RENO, Nev.-Trey Cabbage homered and the Salt Lake Bees downed Reno 8-6 Tuesday at Greater Nevada Field.

Nick Jones earned the win on the mound for the Bees in improving to 2-0 on the season. Jorge Barrosa and Adrian Del Castillo homered in the loss for the Aces.

The streaking Bees, winners of 10 of their last 11 games, improved to 65-73 while Reno fell to 79-60.

The Bees and Aces return to action Wednesday at 7:35 pm at Greater Nevada Field.

Pioneer League

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Jake McMurray posted four RBI and the Rocky Mountain Vibes blanked Ogden 11-0 Tuesday in the first game of the Pioneer League South Divisional Series at UCHealth Park. Nico Zeglin’s 8 strikeouts in 7 innings of work earned him the win on the mound for the Vibes. The Raptors and Vibes return to action Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field.
