SALT LAKE CITY-Jared Walsh homered and the Salt Lake Bees bested Tacoma 6-2 Friday at Smith’s Ballpark. Jake Kalish posted four strikeouts in five innings to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.

The Bees improved to 62-73 and the Rainiers fell to 72-64. Salt Lake can achieve the series win Saturday. Opening pitch is slated for Saturday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

Pioneer League

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-Logan Williams, Reese Alexiades and Jonathan Soto each homered and the Ogden Raptors bested Idaho Falls 11-7 at Melealeuca Field Friday.

Stephen Cullen homered in the loss for the Chukars.
