Bees Win 3rd Straight With Victory Against Tacoma Tuesday

SALT LAKE CITY-Zach Neto, Jared Oliva, David Fletcher and Brett Phillips homered and the Salt Lake Bees won their third straight game with a 7-6 win over Tacoma Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark to begin this 6-game series.

Kelvin Caceras posted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn his first win of the season on the mound.

Ryan Bliss homered in defeat for the Rainiers.

The Bees improved to 60-72 on the season while Tacoma fell to 71-62.

The Bees and Rainiers return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Tim Bouchard homered and the Northern Colorado Owlz dismantled Ogden 10-4 at Lindquist Field Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader. Chase Jessee’s three strikeouts in five innings earned him the win on the mound for Northern Colorado. Reese Alexiades and Dakota Conners each homered in the loss for Ogden.

OGDEN, Utah-Jonathan Soto homered and the Ogden Raptors smacked Northern Colorado 14-8 Tuesday to achieve a split in the nightcap from Lindquist Field. Euro Diaz drove in two runs for the Owlz in the loss.

With the win, Ogden improved to 46-46 on the season while Northern Colorado fell to 45-46. The Owlz and Raptors return to action Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field.
