IRVING, Texas-Monday, The College Football Playoff Management Committee appointed University of Utah director of athletics Mark Harlan to The College Football Playoff Selection Committee.

This announcement was made by CFP Executive Director Bill Hancock.

Harlan replaces Jennifer Cohen, who recently became the athletics director at USC.

Harlan has served as the Utes’ athletic director since 2018. In that span, Utah has achieved four national championships and 24 conference titles.

Harlan has over three decades of experience in athletics administration.

Harlan is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s in political science and a master’s in education.
