IRVING, Texas-Monday, BYU junior punter Ryan Rehkow was named as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week.

Rehkow shared this honor with Oklahoma sophomore punt returner Gavin Freeman.

In the Cougars’ 14-0 win over Sam Houston, Saturday, Rehkow recorded nine punts for 479 yards (53.2 yards per kick).

Four of his punts were downed inside the Bearkats’ 20-yard line on the evening.
