Aviators Achieve Series Win Over Bees Saturday

LAS VEGAS-Brett Harris, Cody Thomas, Yohel Pozo and Kyle McCann each homered and the Las Vegas Aviators achieved a series win over Salt Lake with a 5-1 win Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Trey Supak posted three strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Aviators. Supak is 1-0 on the season.

Livan Soto’s RBI sacrifice fly led the Bees in the loss.

In the second game, Salt Lake prevailed 2-0 with Livian Soto homering for the Bees. Jhonathan Diaz earned the win on the mound for the Bees with three strikeouts in five innings of work.

Following Saturday’s results, the Aviators are 68-62 with the Bees sporting a mark of 58-72.

The Bees and Aviators conclude the series Sunday at 7:05 pm at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-John Michael Faile homered twice and the Billings Mustangs bested Ogden 8-5 Saturday at Lindquist Field. Cameron Repetti’s three strikeouts in five innings earned him the win on the mound for Billings. Trevor Jackson recorded his third save of the season for the Mustangs, who have won 11 straight. Nick Ultsch, Juan Teixeira, Jonathan Soto and Landen Barns each drove in a run in defeat for the Raptors, who have lost five straight and 9 of their last 11. The Mustangs improved to 46-43 while Ogden fell to 45-44. Billings and Ogden conclude the series Sunday at 2:00 pm at Lindquist Field.
