SUMMERLIN, Nev.-Kevin Smith and Connor Capel each homered and the Las Vegas Aviators downed Salt Lake 5-3 Tuesday at Las Vegas Ballpark. Chris Okey’s RBI single led the Bees in defeat. Hogan Harris recorded five strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake. The Aviators improved to 65-61 on the season while Salt Lake fell to 57-69.

The Bees and Aviators return to action Wednesday at 8:05 pm at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Taylor Lomack homered twice while Gabe Wurtz and Blake Evans also went yard as the Billings Mustangs pummeled Ogden 23-4 at Lindquist Field Tuesday. Jacob Stobart posted four strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Mustangs. Juan Teixeira drove in two runs in the loss for the Mustangs.
