Cox Leads Initiative “Disagree Better”

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox is calling on Utahns and all Americans to “Disagree Better.” That’s the name of an initiative Utah’s chief executive is leading to help the U.S. “bridge the partisan divide” and be more positive during political conversations with loved ones. Cox posted a video online about the initiative last week, explaining “healthy disagreement” is about staying true to the principles we believe in while not attacking somebody we might disagree with. He added “listening to understand as opposed to listening to debate is a powerful tool.” His message comes as the nation prepares for the 2024 presidential primaries and local elections.
