(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah National guard commander Major General Michael Turley has been placed on administrative leave. The decision was made following an investigation by the U.S. Army Inspector General Agency. According to reports, the two-year investigation determined that Turley was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate soldier. Brigadier General Daniel D. Boyack has been appointed to command the Utah National Guard until a permanent replacement is chosen. That decision is expected to be made next month.
