Judge Tosses Lawsuit Challenging Porn Site Age-Verification Law

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s law requiring pornography websites to verify the ages of users is still in force after a federal judge threw out a lawsuit challenging it. U.S. District Court Judge Ted Stewart on Tuesday dismissed the suit brought by an adult entertainment industry trade group. In issuing his ruling, Stewart said he did not have jurisdiction to hear the case filed by the Free Speech Coalition. The trade group said it will appeal Stewart’s decision.
