SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, Sister Patricia Holland, the late wife of Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of The Quorum of Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was celebrated for a life of service.
Sister Holland was remembered as “one of a kind, truly an elect lady” in remarks from Church President Russell M. Nelson.
President Nelson stated Sister Holland has a unique place in Church history. He likened her unto other wives of prophets in the Church, Emma Smith and Eliza R. Snow, as they were also the spouses of prophets, seers and revelators who also served as general officers of the Church.
Sister Holland will be buried in St. George July 29.
Also speaking at Friday’s service were Sister Holland’s three children, David F. Holland, Mary Alice Holland McCann and Elder Matthew S. Holland, a General Authority Seventy.
In his shared remarks, Elder Holland closed by sharing his testimony of Christ.
