SALT LAKE CITY-Brett Phillips homered and the Salt Lake Bees bested Las Vegas 3-1 Friday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Jordyn Adams added an RBI single in the win for Salt Lake.

Jimmy Herget posted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Herget is 1-1 on the season for the Bees.

Ramon Laureano had an RBI groundout in the loss for the Aviators.

Salt Lake improved to 46-47 on the season while the Aviators fell to 45-48.

The Bees and Aviators return to action Saturday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
