Weber State Football Adds Four Transfers Thursday

OGDEN, Utah-Thursday, Weber State football added four new transfers to the program.

The Wildcats have added senior offensive lineman Andrew Carter, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Zoom Esplin, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Vae Soifua and redshirt freshman defensive end Keahnist Thompson.

Carter previously starred at NAIA power Carroll (Mont.) while Esplin and Soifua come to the Wildcats from BYU. Thompson previously played at Central Florida. Carter is a native of Gooding, Idaho.

Esplin is a native of Encinitas, Calif and Soifua starred at Orem High School, leading the Tigers to successive 5A state football championships in 2019 and 2020.

Thompson is a native of Lakeland, Fla. and previously starred at Lakeland High School before joining the Knights’ program. Thompson will have four years of eligibility for the Wildcats.
