SALT LAKE CITY-David Villar and Heliot Ramos each homered and the Sacramento River Cats overpowered Salt Lake 13-6 Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Chris Wright posted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the River Cats.

Jordyn Adams and Brett Phillips each drove in two runs in the loss for the Bees.

Sacramento improved to 39-44 while the Bees fell to 41-42.

The Bees and River Cats return to action Friday at 6:35 pm.

Pioneer League

MISSOULA, Mont.-Juan Teixeira drove in three runs and the Ogden Raptors pummeled Missoula 12-3 Thursday at Ogren Park Allegiance Field. Brock Gilliam posted seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. Jared Akins drove in two runs in defeat for the PaddleHeads.

Ogden improved to 24-14 on the season while Missoula fell to 29-10 in defeat.

The Raptors and PaddleHeads return to action Friday at 7:05 pm at Ogren Park Allegiance Field.
