TACOMA, Wash.-Jo Adell and Trey Cabbage each homered and the Salt Lake Bees pounded Tacoma 11-1 Monday at Cheney Stadium to earn the series split.
Jhonathan Diaz posted three strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake. Diaz is 6-0 on the season for the Bees.
Adam Engel homered in the loss for the Rainiers.
Salt Lake improved to 40-40 on the season while Tacoma fell to 40-41.
The Bees return home to start a six-game series against the Sacramento River Cats Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark at 6:35 pm.
Pioneer League
KALISPELL, Mont.-Dean Miller, Kingston Liniak and Mason Dinesen each homered and the Glacier Range Riders bested Ogden 12-9 Monday at Glacier Range Field. Ryan Cloude posted six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Glacier. Juan Teixeira drove in two runs in defeat for the Raptors.
Glacier improved to 21-14 on the season as the Range Riders have won 7 of their last 10 games. Ogden fell to 23-13 on the season in defeat. Tuesday, the Range Riders and Raptors meet again at Glacier Range Field for a 7:04 pm opening pitch.
