TACOMA, Wash.-Trey Cabbage and Michael Stefanic drove in two runs apiece and the Salt Lake Bees bested Tacoma 9-4 Thursday at Cheney Stadium. Chase Silseth posted seven strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Silseth is 3-1 on the season for Salt Lake. Zach DeLoach and Colin Moran each homered in defeat for the Rainiers.
Salt Lake improved to 38-38 on the season in victory while Tacoma fell to 38-39. The Bees and Rainiers return to action Friday at 8:05 pm at Cheney Stadium.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Logan Williams homered twice and the Ogden Raptors won their fifth straight game with an 18-5 rout of the Idaho Falls Chukars Thursday at Lindquist Field.
Pablo Arevalo posted four strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Mark Herron Jr. and Zach May homered in the loss for the Chukars.
Ogden improved to 21-10 on the season as the Raptors won their eighth game in the last 10 contests.
The Chukars fell to 11-21 in the loss.
The Raptors and Chukars meet again Friday but this time to start a 3-game series at Melaleuca Field.
