Utah Tech First-Generation Program Chosen For National Network

(St. George, UT) — Utah Tech University’s program for first-generation college students is joining a national network to help students who are the first in their family to attend college. Utah Tech announced this week that it’s been invited to be part of the First Scholars Network for the 2023-24 school year. First-Generation Student Services Coordinator Marisa Thayn said 30-percent of students at Utah Tech are first-generation students. Thayn said it’s an honor to be chosen and that Utah Tech is committed to ensuring that current and future first-generation students will succeed.
