BENTONVILLE, Ark.-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed its completed temple at Bentonville, Ark. is now conducting an open house.
Invited guests may tour the temple through Friday. As of Saturday June 16, it will be open to the public for tours with the exception of Sundays, through July 1.
Presently, Arkansan Latter-day Saints must travel a long distance to dedicated temples of the Salt Lake City-based faith in Oklahoma City and Kansas City.
Upon its dedication, Sunday September 17, this temple will serve Latter-day Saints in Arkansas and Missouri.
Elder David A. Bednar, of the Church’s Quorum of Twelve Apostles, who has ties to Arkansas, will dedicate the Bentonville Arkansas Temple in two sessions that day.
