PROVO, Utah-Sunday evening, BYU signed American Leadership Academy (Ariz.)  star quarterback Enoch Watson.

The Cougars were the first program to offer Watson, who plays under former BYU Heisman Trophy winning signal-caller Ty Detmer.

Watson, a native of Flagstaff, Ariz., has also starred at Coconino High School of Flagstaff as well during his scholastic career.

Watson will be entering his senior season at ALA.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he plans to serve a mission for the faith before his freshman season at BYU.
