SALT LAKE CITY-Davis Wendzel and Elier Hernandez homered and the Round Rock Express routed Salt Lake 9-3 Friday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Wendzel added a pair of sacrifice RBI for the Express in the victory as Round Rock improved to 35-26.

Cody Bradford posted five strikeouts in eight innings of work to earn the win for the Express. Bradford is 8-1 on the season for Round Rock.

Preston Palmeiro homered in the loss for the Bees.

Round Rock improved to 35-26 on the season while Salt Lake fell to 28-33.

The Express seek to secure a series win Saturday as they meet the Bees at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-CJ Dunn drove in three runs and the Idaho Falls Chukars blanked Ogden 7-0 Friday at Lindquist Field. Daniel Silva posted six strikeouts in nine innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Chukars. Idaho Falls improved to 7-9 on the season while the Raptors fell to 9-7. Ogden and Idaho Falls return to action Saturday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field.
