SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, per a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Utah Jazz assistant general manager David Fizdale was signed as an assistant coach by the Phoenix Suns.

Fizdale will serve under newly hired Suns coach Frank Vogel per this report.

Fizdale has previous coaching experience as the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies (2016-2018) and New York Knicks (2018-2020), posting a record of 71-134 (.346).

Fizdale also coached as an assistant at San Diego and Fresno State in the collegiate ranks. His first NBA coaching job was as an assistant with the Golden State Warriors (2003-04). Fizdale also served as an assistant with the Atlanta Hawks (2004-2008) and Miami Heat (2008-2016).
