Bees Win 5th Straight Against Isotopes Saturday

SALT LAKE CITY-Brett Phillips recorded an RBI and the Salt Lake Bees downed Albuquerque 4-1 Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Jake Kalish posted three strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.

Kalish improved to 3-5 on the season in victory.

Daniel Cope drove in a run in the loss for the Isotopes.

Salt Lake improved to 27-29 on the season in victory while Albuquerque fell to 22-34.

The Bees have won the first five games of the series and can clinch a series sweep with a win Sunday to conclude the series.

Opening pitch will be at 1:05 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

Pioneer League

BOISE, Idaho-Raymond Gil homered and the Boise Hawks doubled up Ogden 8-4 Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

Ryley Widell posted nine strikeouts in eight innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Hawks. Widell is now 2-0 on the mound for Boise this season.

Landen Barns homered in the loss for the Raptors.

Boise improved to 8-3 on the season while Ogden fell to 6-5.

The series finale is Sunday at 1:05 pm at Memorial Stadium.
