SALT LAKE CITY-Jordyn Adams homered twice and the Salt Lake Bees won their third straight game against the Albuquerque Isotopes with a 7-6 win Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark.
Ryan Smith pitched one inning, recording a strikeout, to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Smith improved to 2-2 on the season for Salt Lake.
Coco Montes homered in defeat for the Isotopes.
With the win, Salt Lake improved to 25-29 on the season. Albuquerque fell to 22-32 with the loss.
The Bees can secure a series victory with a win Friday at Smith’s Ballpark against the Isotopes. The squads will meet at 6:35 pm.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Reese Alexiades homered and the Ogden Raptors edged Boise 6-5 Thursday at Memorial Stadium. Brandon McCabe posted two strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Adam Scoggins added four strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work for the Raptors to earn the save. Sean Skelly homered in the loss for the Hawks. The Raptors and Hawks are presently tied atop the Pioneer League South Division standings at 6-3. Ogden and Boise meet again Friday at 7:30 pm at Memorial Stadium.
