Bees Rout Isotopes Wednesday

SALT LAKE CITY-Jo Adell hit his 18th home run of the season and the Salt Lake Bees pounded Albuquerque 6-1 Wednesday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Michael Stefanic, David Fletcher and Jack Lopez also added RBI in victory for the Bees who improved to 24-29 in winning their second straight game to start this series.

Jake Lee earned the win on the mound for the Bees to improve to 1-2 on the season.

Aaron Schunk homered in defeat for the Isotopes. Albuquerque fell to 22-31 with the loss.

The Bees and Isotopes return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

Game 2

BOISE, Idaho-Juan Teixeira, Nick Ultsch and Reese Alexiades each homered and the Ogden Raptors earned a doubleheader split with a 9-7 win over the Boise Hawks at Memorial Stadium Tuesday. Brock Gilliam posted 10 strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Dan Kubiuk posted one strikeout in one inning to earn the save for the Raptors. Anthony Walters homered in defeat for the Hawks. The Raptors improved to 5-3 on the season in victory while Boise fell to 6-2. The Raptors and Hawks return to action Thursday at 7:05 pm at Memorial Stadium.

BOISE, Idaho-Kenny Oyama, Kole Kaler, Raymond Gil, Alex Baeza, Tyler Jorgensen and Anthony Walters each drove in a run and the Boise Hawks blanked Ogden 6-0 Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader at Memorial Stadium. Matt Voelker posted four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Hawks.
