PROVO CANYON, Utah-Per information released Wednesday, UDOT will close down sections of US 189 through Provo Canyon Thursday for an avalanche safety precaution.

This closure will affect terrain on both sides of US 189 between Glen Canyon and Vivian Park. This includes the Big Provo Cirque on Timpanogos to Cascade Summit.
Thursday from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, US 189 will be closed from Glen Canyon to Vivian Park for control work.
